In a statement released on social media, actor Jayam Ravi’s wife Aarti Ravi has addressed the ongoing public commentary surrounding their personal life, emphasising their commitment to dignity and silence in the face of scrutiny.
Aarti, who has been at the centre of news due to her divorce from actor Jayam Ravi, clarified that their silence should not be misconstrued as weakness or guilt. “In light of ongoing public commentary surrounding my personal life, I find it important to emphasise that my silence is not a sign of weakness or guilt. I’ve chosen to stay dignified and not respond to those trying to portray me in bad light to conceal the truth, but I trust the legal system to bring justice,” she stated.
The statement referenced a previous public announcement allegedly made with mutual consent, which Aarti claimed came as a shock. They reiterated that their initial response was misinterpreted and clarified that it did not pertain to the ongoing unilateral divorce proceedings.
Aarti expressed a desire for a private conversation on the matter, which she claimed has been denied. She said, “It’s unfortunate that my words were misinterpreted. I still hope for a private conversation on this matter which till date has been denied.”
“I deeply respect the sanctity of marriage and won’t engage in public discussions that hurt anyone’s reputation,” Aarti asserted. “My focus is on our family’s well-being, and I trust in God’s grace for guidance,” she concluded.
Earlier this month, Jayam Ravi announced his separation from Aarti in a social media post. However, in another post, his wife claimed that he made the announcement “without her consent”, leading to a messy separation battle.
